PartyBox Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your download, access, and use of the PartyBox mobile application published by SHA Platforms, Berlin, Germany (“SHA Platforms,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, opening, or using PartyBox, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use PartyBox.

2. About PartyBox

PartyBox is a collection of offline party games designed for friends and families to play together on one device.

PartyBox includes games such as:

Truth or Dare
Would You Rather
Charades
Never Have I Ever
Who’s Most Likely
Spin the Bottle
Random Challenge
Team Generator

PartyBox does not require a user account, subscription, SHA Platforms server, Firebase account, or paid external API for gameplay.

Certain features, including advertisements, advertising-consent forms, and external links, may require an internet connection.

3. Eligibility and Supervision

PartyBox is a general-audience entertainment application and is not specifically directed to children under the age of 13.

A minor may use PartyBox only with permission and appropriate supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether PartyBox, a particular game, or a particular prompt is suitable for a child or minor under their supervision.

Kids Safe Mode provides a gentler set of built-in prompts but does not replace adult supervision or guarantee that every activity will be appropriate for every user, family, culture, or situation.

4. Personal-Use Licence

Subject to these Terms, SHA Platforms grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable licence to install and use PartyBox for lawful, non-commercial entertainment.

You may not:

Copy, sell, rent, lease, distribute, sublicense, or commercially exploit PartyBox
Modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract PartyBox source code, except where applicable law expressly permits it
Remove or alter copyright, trademark, branding, or ownership notices
Interfere with PartyBox, its advertising services, consent systems, or security features
Use automated systems to manipulate advertisements, impressions, clicks, or app functionality
Use PartyBox for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized purposes

5. Safe and Respectful Play

All PartyBox questions, prompts, votes, and challenges are optional.

You and the other players are solely responsible for deciding whether to participate in any prompt or activity.

Always respect:

Personal consent and boundaries
Age and maturity
Physical and mental health conditions
Personal property
Local laws and regulations
Cultural and religious considerations
The safety and dignity of every participant

Never perform a prompt or challenge that is dangerous, illegal, harmful, humiliating, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, threatening, or likely to cause injury, emotional distress, or property damage.

Do not pressure, force, shame, or manipulate anyone into participating.

Any player may skip a question or challenge or stop playing at any time without providing a reason.

6. No Professional Advice

PartyBox is provided solely for entertainment.

PartyBox does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, safety, relationship, or other professional advice.

Do not rely on a game prompt or activity as a substitute for professional advice, common sense, or appropriate safety precautions.

7. Player Names and Local Information

PartyBox allows users to enter player names or nicknames.

Player names, game choices, and preferences such as Sound, Vibration, and Kids Safe Mode are stored locally on the device.

Use nicknames and do not enter sensitive personal information.

You are responsible for information entered on your device and for controlling access to your device.

Locally stored information can generally be removed by editing player information, clearing PartyBox app data, or uninstalling the application.

8. Advertising and Third-Party Services

PartyBox may display banner and interstitial advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

Interstitial advertisements are intended to appear at natural transitions when leaving a game using the Back button.

Advertisements, advertised products, external links, and third-party services are controlled by their respective providers.

SHA Platforms does not control, endorse, guarantee, or accept responsibility for third-party advertisements, products, websites, applications, content, transactions, or services.

Your interaction with a third party is governed by that third party’s own terms, privacy policy, and commercial conditions.

You are never required to click an advertisement to continue using PartyBox.

9. Privacy

Your use of PartyBox is also subject to the PartyBox Privacy Policy:

The Privacy Policy explains how local information, advertising-related information, consent choices, and third-party services are handled.

10. Intellectual Property

PartyBox, including its software, name, logo, interface, design, graphics, organization, selection of content, and other original materials, is owned by or licensed to SHA Platforms and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

“PartyBox” and “SHA Platforms,” together with their associated branding, may not be used in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, partnership, ownership, or affiliation.

Third-party trademarks, product names, and service names belong to their respective owners.

11. App Availability and Updates

We may update, improve, modify, suspend, or remove features, prompts, games, advertising arrangements, compatibility, or support at any time.

We do not guarantee that PartyBox will always be available, uninterrupted, compatible with every device, or free from errors.

Updates may be required to continue using PartyBox or to maintain compatibility, security, legal compliance, or advertising functionality.

Offline gameplay may remain available without an internet connection, but advertisements, consent services, links, and certain third-party functions may be unavailable.

12. User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

Using PartyBox lawfully and safely
Supervising minors when appropriate
Respecting other players’ consent and boundaries
Protecting your device and locally stored information
Reviewing activities before performing them
Skipping any activity that may be unsafe or inappropriate
Complying with applicable laws and third-party terms

SHA Platforms is not responsible for a user’s voluntary decision to perform, modify, or misuse a prompt or challenge.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

PartyBox is provided for entertainment on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SHA Platforms does not make warranties that PartyBox will:

Meet every user’s expectations
Be available at all times
Operate without interruptions or errors
Be compatible with every device
Display advertisements at all times
Contain content suitable for every person, group, culture, or situation

Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory consumer rights or warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SHA Platforms will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from:

Use or inability to use PartyBox
Participation in a prompt or challenge
Actions or decisions of players
Personal injury or property damage caused by unsafe or unauthorized conduct
Third-party advertisements, links, products, or services
Loss of locally stored player names or preferences
Device incompatibility, interruption, or technical failure

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where limitation or exclusion is prohibited by law, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or mandatory consumer protections.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you are responsible for losses, claims, or damages caused by your unlawful use, intentional misuse, violation of another person’s rights, or breach of these Terms.

This section does not apply where such responsibility cannot legally be imposed on a consumer.

16. Ending Use of PartyBox

You may stop using PartyBox at any time by closing or uninstalling the application.

The personal-use licence granted under these Terms may end if you materially violate these Terms.

Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination—including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law—will remain effective where legally permitted.

17. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not remove mandatory protections available under the laws of your country of residence.

Mandatory rules concerning jurisdiction, consumer protection, and dispute rights remain unaffected.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when PartyBox, our services, legal requirements, or third-party services change.

Updated Terms will be made available in PartyBox and/or on the SHA Platforms website with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where required by applicable law, material changes will apply only after appropriate notice.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms and the PartyBox Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and SHA Platforms concerning your use of PartyBox, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.
